JULY 5 – CELEBRATION OF INTERDEPENDENCE DAY

We will be attending the Dover UU Congregation via Zoom –  Time is 10:00am not 10:30am!
In the US, we celebrate July 4 as Independence Day, which can be fantastic. At the same time, this can easily turn into a non-productive, even toxic form, of Nationalism. Every day we see the evidence that we are an interdependent people. What happens in Bangladesh has an impact on what happens in Baltimore. What we do in Dover creates ripples in Denver and Damascus. We are a people who live in a symbiosis. Let’s think about what it means to be “human” or “earthlings” rather than various parties or countries. (reflection by Minister Rev. Dr. Kharma R. Amos)

If you are a member or friend of UUFN, a zoom invitation will be sent via email broadcast (blast). As noted above, since we are joining the Dover congregation,
the time of service is a half hour earlier.  If you have not received an invitation and would like one, please contact the worship team at worship@uufn.org. Please do this well before the service.
